West Palm Beach Police rescue kitten stuck under hood of police vehicle


WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (CIRCA) — A police department in West Palm Beach, Florida, says it "avoided a Cat-astrophe."

The department released body cam footage of the moment officers rescued a kitten trapped under the hood of one of its vehicles — and now police are seeking the public's help naming it!

"We avoided a Cat-astrophe. We are not kitten you! Here is fur-real body cam footage from the purr-fect rescue. An employee already signed up to adopt him, but she needs your help naming him. The winner gets a WPBPD Chief's Challenge Coin. Please, pawsitve name comments only," the department posted on Twitter.

Police say the kitten has been adopted and the winner will receive a WPBPD Chief's Challenge Coin.
