WASHINGTON (CIRCA via STORYFUL) — A bride in the U.K. received a touching surprise on her wedding day, thanks to a gift arranged by her terminally ill mother before she died.
Photos shared to Facebook on March 11 by Lace and Love, a bespoke wedding shoe service, showcase the special present — a beautiful pair of wedding shoes complete with a secret message from the bride's mom on the sole.
According to the post, the client had put the deposit down on the shoes months beforehand, but her mother paid for them and requested the message as a surprise memento for her daughter's big day.
The message on the soles read: "Wanted you to have a gift from me on your wedding day. Your wedding shoes are my gift to you. Hope you have a magical day. Lots and lots love and big hugs, Mum xxxx"
"We sent them out last week and I had a very emotional phone call when the client received her shoes," Lace and Love's director said in the post.
The images had over 1,000 likes on Facebook at the time of writing.
