LAS VEGAS (CIRCA via KSNV) — Most people typically discover good finds at the thrift store.
For one local mother and daughter, what they found is something they claim is irreplaceable.
“It’s priceless,” said Charlene Tomasik.
Precious moments captured in photos of a baby Charlene doesn't even know.
“To lose baby pictures, I mean I’ve lost baby pictures. You can’t replace them once they are gone,” she said.
Charlene says she found a baby photo album at a Goodwill on Flamingo and Fort Apache Road.
“She goes, 'Well it was probably you know an intentional donation and I’m just going to put it back on the shelf, I said no you’re not,” she said.
So, Charlene bought the album which included more photos, even someone's hair.
“We don’t know if it’s mom’s hair or baby’s hair or we don’t know,” she said.
She and her daughter Jenni Tomasik are now making it their mission to find who it belongs to.
“It kind of almost brought me to tears looking through it the first time like why would you want to put this, why would you want to get rid of it,” Jenni said.
The two don't believe that someone was trying to give it away.
“Maybe an unintentional donation in the middle of a move,” Charlene said.
“I don’t think anyone would ever intentionally put their baby or anything regarding their baby out there,” Jenni said.
Some of the photos were developed in 2007.
The mother and daughter believe the family still lives somewhere in the valley and hopes they find them.
“That way we can get this back home where it belongs instead of at the Goodwill,” Charlene said.
How do you pronounce it? Unusual baby name causes confusion throughout the internet.
