WOONSOCKET, R.I. (CIRCA) — The manager of a Planet Fitness in Rhode Island went out of his way to make sure one of his clients received a good workout. Daniel Cote saw that CJ, a man at the gym with Down syndrome, left his sneakers at home.
CJ’s caregiver, Lisa Simpson, wrote on Facebook that she forgot her pocketbook at home. Without asking, Cote went to a shoe store in the mall, purchased the sneakers, and helped CJ put them on. Simpson says Cote’s act of kindness restored her faith in mankind.
