WASHINGTON (CIRCA) — Disney Parks announced Thursday that Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is opening ahead of schedule on May 31 at Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California, and Aug. 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.

WASHINGTON (CIRCA) — "Star Wars" fans across America can celebrate knowing that both coasts are about to have their own theme park attractions.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge is the largest single-themed land ever in a Disney park and is set to open this summer in Disneyland in California and in the fall at Disney World in Florida. The area will have two major attractions — the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance.

Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Disney guests will traverse the corridors of a Star Destroyer on Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance and join an epic battle between the First Order and the Resistance, including a face-off with Kylo Ren, when Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge opens in summer 2019 at Disneyland in California and fall 2019 at Disney World.

Guests can also enjoy themed food and beverages. They can hear live music at Oga's Cantina, try the meaty Ronto Roasters or dare to taste some blue or green milk from the Milk Stand. Other activities include shopping and building custom droids and lightsabers.
