Yuengling, the oldest brewery in the US, had a big birthday on tap

POTTSVILLE, Pa. (CIRCA) — Eagle Brewery was born 190 years ago. Now, it’s known as Yuengling.

The business has been passed on from generation to generation. David G. Yuengling opened the brewery in 1829 in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. Now running the nation's oldest brewery are the three Yuengling sisters — Jen, Wendy and Debbie.

To celebrate its 190th anniversary, the brewery has released a series of five limited-edition commemorative Yuengling Lager beer cans. Yuengling will release a new can design each month through April (the first came out in December).

The brewery has also crafted a limited-edition bourbon barrel reserve beer for the anniversary.
