College football player from Germany alleges 'Last Chance U' coach told him, 'I'm your new Hitler'

The Independence Community College (Kansas) coach who starred in the third season of Nexflix’s “Last Chance U” finds himself in hot water after a German student claims the coach told him “I’m your new Hitler.”

The Montgomery County Chronicle obtained text message screenshots that allege to show coach Jason Brown, known for his fiery demeanor on the show, also calling the player, German native Alexandros Alexiou “u German f***” and informing him that he was being cut from the team and his scholarship was being revoked.

The messages appear to show Brown informing Alexiou that he had 17 demerit points. When a player in the program reaches 25, they are cut from the team.

In a statement, college president Dan Barwick told the paper that he spoke with both parties about the exchange and expressed disappointment with the language.

“The college is investigating the matter and will have no further statement at this time,” Barwick said.

Alexiou told the paper he spoke with several of Brown’s assistants and a school compliance officer after the incident. He’s since filed a report of discrimination, saying he didn’t feel like anybody within the team or the school’s administration had his back.

“I don’t think it’s right,” Alexiou said. “I know I did some stupid things to get a suspension, but there are a lot of other incidents on the team that do not get reported.”
