Scientist in Antarctica has close call with killer whale

Actions

WASHINGTON (CIRCA via CNN NEWSOURCE) — A scientist studying killer whales in Antarctica had a close call with one and caught it all on camera.

Video shows a killer whale approaching her selfie stick (or, "whale-fie" stick) and smacking it with its nose. The whale cheeses it up for the camera as it releases a fish from its mouth.

Dr. Regina Eisert of the Antarctica New Zealand Research Group says the gesture was like a "cat offering you a mouse."
