Texas police officers 'jump into action' to save a cat stuck inside a vehicle's engine compartment

FREEPORT, Texas (CIRCA) — When a police department in Texas received a call about a cat stuck inside a vehicle's engine compartment, officers Houston and Cornejo "jumped into action," the Freeport Police Department proudly reported on its Facebook page.

Police say the cat was safely rescued and returned to its owner.

"No matter the situation, you call, we respond. 'Protecting and serving our community with pride!'" the department stated.
