TOPEKA, Kan. (CIRCA) - A woman was brought to tears when her husband surprised her while she was holding her newborn baby in a neonatal intensive care unit at a hospital in Kansas.

"A soldier came home," Cydney Cooper wrote on Facebook, along with photos and videos of the incident.

According to ABC News, Cydney Cooper gave birth to twin girls while only 33 weeks pregnant and hadn't seen her husband, Skyler Cooper, who was stationed in Kuwait, in seven months.

The baby girls, Emma and Kyla Cooper, were two weeks old at the time of the surprise.

"It was an incredible moment to see him meet his daughters for the first time," Cooper told "Good Morning America." "We just want to get them home now."
