FREEPORT, Texas (CIRCA via STORYFUL) — A 6-year-old girl with cancer who was sworn in as an honorary police officer with the Freeport Police Department shared a touching dance with Freeport Police chief Raymond Garivey on Saturday, Feb. 16.

Abigail Arias, who met Garivey in December with her family, was made an honorary police officer after she told Garivey it was her life-long dream.

The pair took to the floor at a “Boots and Bling” dinner dance where Abigail was presented with an honorary rodeo membership badge.

Sharing a clip of the pair dancing on Facebook, Garivey said: “As proud Chief of Police, I had the pleasure of dancing with one of the most beautiful lady cops in the whole entire world. Thank you for the dance Officer Abigail Arias!”
