OLATHE, Kansas. (WSET) -- Three middle schools boys made sure every girl felt special on Valentine's Day.

WKRN reports that sixth-grader Lincoln Holmes, seventh-grader Kyan Rice and eighth-grader Tristan Valentine spent hundreds of dollars on more than 300 carnations.

They purchased enough flowers for all 270 girls and 70 female teachers at the school.

“We wanted every girl to feel important and special on Valentine’s Day,” Tristan said.

The boys stood at all entrances of the school and passed out the flowers.

One of the boys added that he used $100 of his own money for the gesture.
