Man dies after falling down stairs at Las Vegas observation wheel

LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — A man is dead after falling down the stairs at the High Roller Observation Wheel, Friday night.

According to police, just before 7 p.m., a 23-year-old man entered an unauthorized area on the property, ran around the loading area and fell down the stairs, approximately 50 feet.

The young man was taken to UMC where he died.

According to police, the death appears to be accidental.

The area around the incident is closed off to the public.

At this time, the High Roller is open but the zip line is currently closed.
