QUEENSLAND, Australia (CIRCA via STORYFUL) — Australia National Rugby League players helped rescue stranded children Monday after heavy flooding left roads impassable in Townsville, Queensland.

Gavin Cooper and John Asiata, who play for the North Queensland Cowboys, and Antonio Winterstein, a former player, helped carry children to dry land after their family became stranded on a boat while trying to evacuate, Yahoo Sports reported.

The rescue was captured on footage taken by Winterstein’s wife, Brooke.

Two bodies were found in a storm drain in a Townsville suburb during a search for missing people, Australia’s Nine News reported on Tuesday.
