LOS ANGELES (CIRCA) — "Overlord" is the perfect mix between suspense, action and wit. The film is hailed as Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.
Jovan Adepo stars in the movie along with Wyatt Russell, Pilou Asbaek, John Magaro, Bokeem Woodbine and Mathilde Ollivier. Adepo describes bonding with the cast as his favorite part about shooting the film.
The film is produced by J.J. Abrams, who is best known for creating and executive producing the hit series "Alias" and "Lost." He also produced the "Star Trek" reboot in 2009. "Overlord" is set during World War II. American paratroopers get deployed on a mission that takes a different course, and it creates a nail-biting intensity.
This was Adepo's first time acting in a horror film.
"Being scared and then being truthful that the audience believes you, playing drunk or playing sleepy, are really difficult things, in my opinion," Adeppo said.
You can catch "Overlord" on digital video beginning Tuesday and on 4K Ultra HD, Blu-Ray and DVD Feb. 19.
