MOSELEY, Va. (CIRCA via STORYFUL) — Seven turned out to be a lucky number for the Metro Richmond Zoo in Moseley, Virginia. That's how many cheetah cubs were born back on Nov. 30, 2018.
On Thursday, the zoo announced the birth of the cheetah septuplets on social media. It's a rare event that only happens in 1 percent of cheetah births.
All seven cubs are in good health and are being kept in a breeding facility with their mother, Vaila.
Since 2013, the Metro Richmond Zoo has had nine cheetah litters born with a total of 47 cubs.
