To mark the restaurant’s addition of bacon to its classic menu, McDonald’s is holding a nationwide Bacon Hour on Tuesday, allowing customers to add its new Applewood-smoked bacon to any item on the menu for no additional charge. Translation: Free. Bacon. Two-and-a-half pieces in fact.
Bacon on a Big Mac? You got it. Bacon with the fries? Of course. Bacon in your McFlurry? Know I’m gonna look at you judgingly, but why do you care what I think? We've probably never met. And you’ve got free bacon.

“I love bacon. America loves bacon. I really can’t wait to see the crazy and daring combinations our customers put together,” Chef Michael Haracz, McDonald’s Manager of Culinary Innovation, said in a statement announcing the Bacon Hour.
