WASHINGTON (CIRCA) -- A manhunt is underway in a Chicago suburb after an 18-year-old was shot and killed outside of the H&M store at Orland Square Mall.
Police have identified the suspect as 19-year-old Jakharr Williams, according to NBC Chicago. Williams reportedly already has an active parole warrant.
The shooting happened after two males got into a fight. One of them pulled out a gun and opened fire. The victim was hit multiple times resulting in his death. A bystander nearby also suffered a graze wound.
Authorities are urging the public to be on the lookout for a black male who is 6 feet and 1 inch tall. On Monday night when the shooting occurred, Williams was wearing black clothing with blue jeans.
WASHINGTON (CIRCA) -- Witnesses tell WLS-TV that shots have been fired inside of a mall in Orland Park, Illinois, known as Orland Square Mall.
WLS reports that police said a 19-year-old man was shot outside the mall's H&M store. He was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Orland Park is a suburb to the south of Chicago.
Police tell WLS-TV there is no suspect in custody at this time. Tahman Bradley, a reporter with WGN-TV, was also inside the mall when the incident occurred and confirmed hearing gunshots. Another shopper tells WLS-TV they've been hiding inside of a storage room for at least 30 minutes.
