Actions

WASHINGTON (CIRCA via STORYFUL) -- Former President George W. Bush said he and his wife Laura spent part of Friday delivering pizzas to federal workers affected by the government shutdown, and called for “leaders on both sides to put politics aside, come together, and end this shutdown.”

Bush shared a photo on his Instagram page of himself delivering pizzas to a group of workers, writing: “@LauraWBush and I are grateful to our Secret Service personnel and the thousands of Federal employees who are working hard for our country without a paycheck.”

Government workers have been without a paycheck for four weeks, making it the longest government shutdown in history.
