WILMINGTON, Del. (CIRCA via STORYFUL) -- A dog that was abandoned outside an animal shelter in Wilmington, Delaware, had a bag and note attached to her explaining why the owner could no longer afford to feed the animal.
Delaware Humane Association shared photos of the six-year-old dog, called Sky, on January 3, writing: “While we have all the questions in the world, we are just thankful this sweetheart made it to us before it was too late.”
According to the note, Sky's previous owners had just lost their home.
The shelter shared a note it said was attached to Sky, which read: "Please take care of Sky. She is six years old and friendly. I couldn’t take care of her, I became homeless and couldn’t feed her. She is not sick just hungry, very friendly. Please find her a home. Please.”
The shelter said it hopes to adopt Sky into a new family once she has regained her full health.
This idiot deer had to be rescued from a backyard pool. Oh, and it faceplanted into a fence.
