'Eff you': Surveillance footage captures woman hurling hot coffee at doughnut shop owner's face

CANOGA PARK, Calif. (CIRCA via STORYFUL) — Surveillance footage from a Canoga Park, California, doughnut shop captured the moment a customer threw hot coffee in the face of the shop owner.

It is alleged the woman was reacting to a request to be quiet or leave the establishment when she threw the scalding drink.

Spudnuts Donuts owner Cindy Seam told KABC-TV about the Dec. 7 encounter, saying, “I actually asked her to quiet down because she was scaring the girl, or leave, and she said, 'Eff you,' and just threw the coffee at me.”

Seam told KABC she believes the woman, who often visits the shop, is homeless or mentally ill.

Police were called to the scene, but the woman had left by the time they arrived.
