WASHINGTON (CIRCA via SBG) — After months of rumors and speculation, Marvel Studios revealed the title of the fourth Avengers movie Friday, as well as dropping the first trailer and apparently moving up the release date for what is now officially called "Avengers: Endgame."

Picking up where this year's "Avengers: Infinity War" left off, the film reveals what happens next after villain Thanos (Josh Brolin) used the Infinity Gauntlet to wipe out half the universe.

The first 'Avengers: Endgame' trailer is out and it's everything you hoped it would be

"This is the fight of our lives," Chris Evans' Captain America says as the remaining heroes assess a fairly bleak situation.

The trailer confirms most of the cast of the original Avengers movie is still standing, including Captain America, Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) as well as more recent addition Ant-Man (Paul Rudd).

Not seen is Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, whose arrival was teased in a post-credits scene in "Infinity War." She will first appear in a solo film in March, which will be set in the past.
