Infant's ashes

Burglars stole this couple's jewelry, but all they really want back is their son's ashes

LOS ANGELES (CIRCA) -- While the burglars came away with some of the family’s jewels, what one Houston couple really wants back is their infant son’s ashes, which were also stolen.

Siobhan and AJ Gracely were away in San Antonio last weekend to take part in a half-marathon, according to The Dallas Morning News. When they returned to their Houston home, they discovered it had been broken into.

The jewelry was gone. But worse yet, 11-week-old Julien had been stolen from the couple again.

"His life has already been tragically taken away from him," Siobhan Gracely told the DMN. "And then to have his ashes stolen as well. It's just the most heart-wrenching situation."

Siobhan’s sister Caroline Baizan posted a photo of what the box looks like on Facebook: a silver cube with a teddy bear on top. The family believes they thieves may have confused it for more jewelry because it was stored right next to those items.
