SYDNEY, Nova Scotia (CIRCA) - A teenager seen in a viral video that shows a boy with cerebral palsy being bullied in eastern Canada is now apologizing for his role.
The video that surfaced on Facebook last week showed a group of teens making 14-year-old Brett Corbett lay face down in shallow water while a girl steps on his back.
The video has been seen more than 200,000 times.
The father of the teen involved in the incident spoke on his behalf during a public meeting over the weekend.
“I’m sorry to Brett and his family,” said the father, CTV News reported Saturday.
Brett accepted the apology, according to CTV News.
