There's a 10-foot-tall bear hanging out in Rockefeller Center for a limited time

NEW YORK (CIRCA) - The Christmas tree at Rockefeller Center in New York has some plush competition this holiday season. A really large bear is on display in the Rockefeller Center's Channel Gardens for a limited time.

The 10-foot-tall bear was created by artist Tom Otterness as part of the "An American Place: The Barney A. Ebsworth" collection.

It will be auctioned at Christie's New York on Tuesday as part of its 20th Century Week in New York.

The sculpture is expected to sell for anywhere between $400,000 to $600,000.

The Associated Press contributed to this report.
