WASHINGTON (Circa) — Bryan Lenertz, a bank executive in South Carolina, is facing controversy after dressing in blackface as Kanye West for Halloween.

The executive works for Anderson Brothers Bank, a community bank that handles $740 million in assets according to The Root. Lenertz, who posted a picture on Facebook of himself and his wife dressed as West and Kim Kardashian, reportedly used skin bronzer that is also used by Kardashian herself.

Lenertz wore blackface along with a "Make America Great Again" hat, a chain, black pants, white shirt and glasses West has been seen wearing in the past. His wife also wore glasses along with a black outfit and a ponytail that looked similar to Kardashian's hair.

The Root, the publication that broke the story, reached out to an employee of the bank for comment. The employee stated the story was forwarded to executive management and was "to be handled."

While many of Lenertz's Facebook friends supported his costume, other users on social media are disappointed with his decision.
