WASHINGTON (Circa) — A bus carrying workers crashed Tuesday afternoon. One person is dead as a result of the incident.
The crash occurred in Freeport, Texas between Highway 36 and 288.
KPRC-TV reports the bus was on the highway headed westbound. The bus fishtailed before overturning. Officials tell the news outlet that the vehicle rolled down an embankment several times.
Workers from Zachary Industrial were on the bus leaving their plant and heading to a parking lot.
About 30 passengers were taken off the bus and sent to a nearby hospital for treatment. The identities of the people involved have not been released at this time.
