LOS ANGELES (CIRCA) — If you've ever woken up in a cold sweat, haunted by visions of a world populated entirely by pizza, then this pop-up experience is for you.
OK, that's pretty specific, but that's how seriously the creators of The Pizza Experience take this multisensory museum.
Featuring room after room of pizza-themed photo experiences that you can see, touch and sometimes eat, The Pizza Experience takes the trend of themed photo pop-ups to the extreme.
Guests can experience a pizza gym, pizza nightclub and a full pizza apartment with pizza-patterned everything.
So, what inspires such madness? The museum's founder, Robin Boytos, says it was her husband's challenge to see how long he could only eat pizza.
"If you could eat one food for the rest of your life, for every single meal, what would it be? My husband, he chose pizza. He went 45 days straight, but he narrated this experience in a book that he wrote."
"He was sitting on the couch, writing this book and I was like, 'Why are you writing this book? Who's gonna buy it? Who's gonna read this book?' And I said, 'I know! Let's put it in the gift shop of an entire interactive pizza museum.' And then I did it."
You can visit The Pizza Experience now through February in Pasadena, California.
