BALTIMORE (WBFF) -- Baltimore City Fire Crews are on scene of an apartment fire in Northeast Baltimore.

Several firefighters are reportedly injured, there are also reports of a possible explosion and partial building collapse.

The fire was reported around 3pm at Bowleys Lane and Brehms Lane in the Mannasota Manor Apartments.

Multiple medics have been called to the scene. The fire has now reached two alarms.

Police on scene told our sister station FOX45's Keith Daniels that it was an active gas leak.

Neighbors tell us that there was a big explosion and at least one firefighter was thrown from the roof to the ground.

Units are being backed up and heading to a media staging area at the intersection of Bowley’s Lane and Green Hill Road.

This is a developing story.
