WASHINGTON (CIRCA) – A white woman who was dubbed "Cornerstore Caroline" after accusing a black boy of grabbing her butt at a corner store in New York City has issued an apology, ABC News reports.
But the boy, 9-year-old Jeremiah Harvey, told reporters on Monday after a community meeting that he doesn't forgive her, according to ABC News.
"I don't forgive this woman, and she needs help," Jeremiah told New York's WABC-TV.
The boy spoke through tears less than a week after the woman, Teresa Klein, was recorded calling 911 on claims she had been "assaulted by a child."
With his mother beside him, Jeremiah told the crowd, "Friendship is really the key," ABC News reported.
At the meeting, a surveillance video from inside the Brooklyn store was played for the public that clearly showed it was the boy's backpack that brushed against the woman's butt, according to the report.
