FLINT, Mich. (WEYI) — Billionaire Tesla and SpaceX founder is helping Flint schools with a donation that will replace all of the district’s water fountains with water stations and filtration stations.

The news came in a tweet by Flint Community Schools thanking Elon Musk’s Foundation for “investing in the health/future well-being FCS students.”

Musk replied to the tweet saying he hopes to do more in the future to help.

In July, Musk tweeted offering to fix the water lines of any house in Flint with water contamination levels above acceptable federal levels.

There has been no update on that offer for assistance.
