EUGENE, Ore. (Circa) — Two schools were on lockdown as Oregon police responded to reports of a shooting in Eugene.

"Please avoid the 2900 block of Bailey Lane near Luella Street," police said in a statement. "Police are responding to a call regarding shots fired."

Monroe Middle School and St. Paul Parish School were placed on a lockdown as officers responded to the scene, according to police.

Initially, officials indicated the shooting was on Bailey Hill Road near Churchill High School, but that was later corrected to clarify the high school wasn’t affected.

This is a developing story and will be updated as details become available.
