Delta flights were grounded due to a technology issue

Delta's outage is now over. In a statement released on Twitter, the airline has said the following:

.@Delta teams have restored all IT systems after a technology issue briefly affected some of our systems this evening. All groundstops have been lifted.

WASHINGTON (Circa) — Delta Airlines is currently experiencing an outage with all flights due to a computer issue.

In a statement, the airline says there has been no safety issues with any Delta flights in the air. They've also said they're working to get flight systems back up as soon as possible.

Here is their full statement:

Delta IT teams are working diligently to address a technology issue impacting some of our systems. We have issued a Delta groundstop as we work to bring systems back up as quickly as possible. There has been no disruption or safety issue with any Delta flight currently in the air. We apologize to all customers for this inconvenience.

Despite the shutdown of domestic flights, international flights are continuing as scheduled.
