(SBG) - Supreme Court justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh appeared to tear up when asked by Fox News host Martha MacCallum if he and his wife ever considered relinquishing the opportunity to sit on the top court due to the allegations and the vehemence of the situation.

"Did you guys ever look at each other and say 'I'm out. This is enough. This just isn't worth it?" MacCallum asked the couple.

"I'm not going to let false accusations drive us out of this process," Kavanaugh responded while intermittently looking over at his wife. "We are looking for a fair process where I can be heard and defend my integrity, my life-long record of promoting dignity and equality for women, starting with the women who knew me when I was 14 years old."

"I'm not going anywhere," Kavanaugh concluded.
