It's a beautiful day on Google's homepage

WASHINGTON (Circa) — It has been 51 years since Mister Rogers first stepped into his now-famous neighborhood. The first episode of "Mister Rogers' Neighborhood" was filmed on Sep. 21, 1967. Today, Google is celebrating this little-known anniversary.

The homepage features a Google Doodle that shows an animated Mister Rogers dancing through his famous neighborhood, joined by children. The background tune is his most famous song, "Won't You Be My Neighbor." The soothing video is just 51 seconds long. If you don't have time to watch before you start using the search engine, your Google search will still feature a Mister Rogers icon at the top of the page.
