WASHINGTON (Circa) — On the week of the anniversary of Hurricane Maria, hundreds of Puerto Ricans are gathering to send a message to President Donald Trump.
The "Boricuas Remember" mass vigils are happening in D.C., New York City and Mar-a-Lago on Sept. 20 and 22 "to mourn the victims of Hurricane Maria and demand justice for Puerto Rico." They'll be staging the events at locations with a focus on Donald Trump including the White House, Trump Tower and the Trump Resort.
They say that the vigils will be protesting the Trump administration's indifference to suffering in Puerto Rico and calling for accountability from Congress.
