PUYALLUP, Wash. - Dash cam video released Wednesday shows how a state trooper stopped a wrong-way driver during a chase in Washington state earlier this summer.
Pierce County Sheriff's deputies were chasing a stolen SUV on July 29 when the driver pulled on to the highway and began driving against traffic.
The driver exited the highway, but then reentered the roadway again going the wrong way.
A state trooper was in the area and jumped into action, putting his patrol cruiser in the path of the wrong way driver to try and stop it, and it worked.
The troopers then held the two men inside the SUV at gunpoint until backup arrived.
Investigators said both men had several outstanding felony warrants.
No one was injured in the crash.
