WASHINGTON (Circa) - An animal shelter in South Carolina was overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers- and Amazon boxes- in response to Hurricane Florence.

The Greenville Humane Society received what appears to be dozens of Amazon donations from people around the country who wanted to help them during the hurricane.

The shelter posted that the packages pictured are just from Wednesday morning alone. Many were also sent with encouraging notes wishing the shelter luck on aiding the homeless animals during the hurricane.

The Greenville Humane Society says they are one of the largest no-kill shelters in the southeast United States.
