ATLANTA (Circa) - A father took a moment for a daddy-daughter dance while caring for his two-year-old daughter in an Atlanta hospital room.
Phoenix was diagnosed with leukemia on August 2nd and has started chemotherapy at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, according to the family's GoFundMe page. She also has a condition called Myelodysplastic syndrome or MDS which means her bone marrow doesn't work properly.
Her father, Brett Thompson, decided to give Phoenix a yellow dress before picking her up to dance to celebrate her completing the first round of chemotherapy, according to a Facebook post by the family.
