An Indiana man is arrested in Escambia County, Fla. for traveling to Northwest Florida to visit a 16-year-old he met on the “Hangout App” a report states.
According to a report, Jesse Wilkum met the 16-year-old girl on a mobile application the victim described to deputies as a “homework app that is designed for students to talk about school and receive help on their homework”.
The report reveals 20-year-old Wilkum traveled a location in Pensacola, Fla. to engage in sexual acts with a female that was 16 years old between July 6th and 10th.
According to the report, the man lured the teen out of her grandmother’s home and ‘taught her how not to get caught’ and booked a hotel that they checked into after midnight on July 9th.
Before the two met, authorities said Wilkum engaged in sexually explicit video calls and messages with the victim.
The report reveals graphic details of the events and states it was uncovered after a family member of the victim saw message exchanges between the two and called authorities.
Wilkum is being held on $55,000 dollars bond on four felony counts.
