NASHVILLE, Tenn. (Circa) - Singer-songwriter Drake White said that CMAFest in Nashville is a great place for music fans to be introduced to the genre of country.
“You've got all these acts that are all over the world, all the time, crammed into this one city, and it's like a pulse. You can see it from circling the interstate," said White. "If you wanna come see what county music's about, it's a great introduction."
The Alabama native talked about his love of travel and his desire to read and learn more about all the things he still doesn’t know.
“I like all kinds of music," he said. "I consider myself a world traveler. I love my small town of Alabama. I love reading. I love education. I believe diversity is key to intelligence."
White also shared his recommendation for what country album people who don't typically listen to the genre might enjoy.
"I would start with Willie Nelson's 'Red Headed Stranger.' Just go into the writing of it and listen to what he's saying," White said.
White recently released his music video for his latest single, ‘Girl in Pieces,’ which you can check out below.
