LOS ANGELES (Circa) -- Retired NBA player Matt Barnes' nonprofit Athletes vs. Cancer is holding an "Allstar Weekend" of events, a summit of sorts to raise funds and awareness for a cure for cancer.
We checked out the inaugural night of the 4-day event, "Smoke 4A Cure," a cannabis summit featuring a discussion with Snoop Dogg about the benefits of cannabis.
Barnes started Athletes vs. Cancer shortly after his mom died from cancer in 2007. She passed away 26 days after being diagnosed with cancer in four separate areas of her body.
The "Allstar Weekend" is taking place in Los Angeles, California. On the lineup are a bowling night and a celebrity flag football game featuring Kelly Rhodes, Reggie Bush and Nelly.
