LOS ANGELES, Calif. — A California man was arrested and charged with child endangerment after a neighbor's surveillance camera captured a scene that appears to be him swinging his 18-month-old son like a bat during a violent argument with his girlfriend.
Authorities say 27-year-old Techhoak Danny Lim can be seen using the little boy as a weapon and hurling the child at his frightened girlfriend.
The woman seen in the video was trying to hide from her boyfriend inside the gated community, according to Riverside Police. They say when Lim found her, his temper went out of control. Officers couldn't believe what they saw when they watched the surveillance video.
"It takes your breath away. And then there's anger," Riverside Police Detective Jerilynn Czobakowski said.
An officer was so upset he went back to the community on his own to track down the suspect, and found Lim. Police say he admitted to what he did and likely will be going to jail.
The little boy is back with his biological mother, and thankfully only has cuts and bruises according to investigators.
The neighbors whose camera caught what happened are being praised for getting involved and trying to stop the attack, then turning over the video.
Lim is currently free on a $50,000 bond.
