NEW YORK, New York (CIRCA) -- "CBGB: The Age of Punk" is the latest exhibition put on by the Morrison Hotel Gallery. The gallery includes interviews with Blondie and Debbie Harry and other special appearances.
The 1,4000-square-foot music photography gallery is home to fine art "from the iconic to the esoteric."
Named after the famed CBGB & OMFUG (Country, Bluegrass, Blues and Other Music for Uplifting Gormandizers) music club of the 1970s in the East Village, the exhibit pays tribute to the Bowery legend.
GIVEAWAY || Almost as iconic as the artists that headlined CBGB was its legendary graffiti-embellished bathroom, and in the great spirit of the Bowery legend, we've decided to decorate ours accordingly. For a limited time only, and exclusively at our SoHo location, we are offering an opportunity to win a signed 11x14 photograph of the unmistakably cool @blondieofficial captured by the one and only @henrydiltz in 1977. Here's how it works... When you stop by our New York gallery to see CBGB: The Age of Punk between now and Sunday, June 17th, don't forget to take a picture of our bathroom or your favorite CBGB photograph on view within the exhibition and upload it to Instagram with the hashtag #AgeofPunk and @morrisonhotelgallery. Then be sure to check back with us here on 6/17 when the most creative post will be shared as the winner upon the show’s closing!
"CBGB: The Age of Punk" runs through June 17 in New York, Maui and Los Angeles.
