New exclusive images from a post-apocalyptic world have just been revealed by WJLA-TV.

It was 32 years ago that a nuclear reactor at the Chernobyl power plant exploded in the Soviet Union.

Thousands died and more were sickened in the decades that followed.

Pripyat, the nearby city of more than 40,000, was turned into a ghost town overnight.

WJLA reporter Sam Sweeney was granted rare access to see the aftermath of the worst nuclear disaster in history.
