Very famous people who want to run for office: why are they doing this to us? What's going on? What the heck? Alec Baldwin, The Rock, Oprah Winfrey, Marc Zuckerberg, can now add another celebrity to their roster -- Kim Kardashian. After Kim Kardashian helped Alice Johnson gain clemency, she gave an interview to CNN's Van Jones. The interview had a lot, including Kim Kardashian realizing she may have been used by Donald Trump to gain legitimacy, and her saying Kanye West gave Trump legitimacy by wearing his had, and when asked if she would run for president, Kim said --
"I guess never say never, but that’s not gonna be like a ‘Kim’s running.’ That’s not what I’m going for. I just wanna help, starting one person at a time. I think sometimes if more people would just put their personal feelings aside and talk about really important issues that have to be discussed, then so much more can get done.”
Here to discuss are Shira Lazar and Ryan Mitchell, one of whom is absolutely upset by this. Ryan thinks the very concept of the idea, and asking her is inherently stupid, because rewarding one good thing in government with a political career is legitimately wrong. Shira thinks Kim just wants to help herself stay in the headlines. Shira likes that she wants to help one person at a time, but Ryan is worried this is going to be an act of self promotion at the price of the country's well being. Folks, this era is too much, too much.
