Jillian Jacqueline is one of the most exciting new stars in country music. Jacqueline became the first female to sign with Big Loud Records in October 2016. Last September she released her debut EP Side A and her first single “Reasons” reached 53 on the Country radio airplay charts in March.
Jacqueline drew inspiration from her own life when writing ‘Reasons.' We caught up with Jillian in Nashville during CMA Fest and talked to her about how so many people can relate to her song 'Reasons' and asked her why she thinks people sometimes make excuses to stay in bad relationships.
“Fear of the unknown," she said. "You don't want to leave something and be alone again. A lot of people stay because they don't want to be lonely which is the worst situation to be in. My song kind of talks about how my ex and I avoided having that conversation because we didn't want to leave what was comfortable."
Jillian Jacqueline was named one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Country Artists You Need To Know” and is the first Country artist to make Vevo’s elite dscvr Artists To Watch list while also earning spots on Pandora’s Country Artists To Watch 2018 and CMT’s coveted Next Women of Country list as well as the network’s tastemaking “18 for 2018” rundown of emerging artists.
