WASHINGTON (CIRCA) - Soccer fans in the U.S. are getting ready for the 2026 FIFA World Cup. FIFA announced that the United States, Mexico and Canada will host the World Cup in eight years.

Soccer in U.S. cities has gained momentum and popularity -- some cities more than others.
According to a list put together by WalletHub, the best city for soccer fans in the U.S. is Los Angeles.
LA is home to two Major League Soccer teams: LA Galaxy and LA FC. The city was also No. 1 in the MLS rank.
WalletHub looked into characteristics like stadium accessibility and the number of championship wins to compile the top cities.
Other best soccer cities in America include:

2. Orlando, Fla.
4. Portland, Ore.
5. New York
6. Salt Lake City
7. Washington, D.C.
8. Kansas City, Mo.
Orlando also ranked with the most engaged MLS fans. The city with the least engaged fans was Chicago.
