Sarah Sanders denies report that she plans to leave White House

WASHINGTON (Circa) — White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders is not planning to leave her job, she confirmed Thursday.

CBS News reported late Wednesday that Sanders intended to exit her job at the end of this year, but she told Sinclair Thursday she is very happy with her current position and is not going anywhere.

Sanders has criticized CBS for not confirming its reporting with her before publishing the story, but reporters say they did attempt to get a comment from her and she declined.

“Does @CBSNews know something I don’t about my plans and my future? I was at my daughter’s year-end Kindergarten event and they ran a story about my ‘plans to leave the WH’ without even talking to me. I love my job and am honored to work for @POTUS,” Sanders tweeted after the CBS story was posted Wednesday.

CBS also claimed Deputy Press Secretary Raj Shah is considering moving on from the White House. He did not immediately respond to the report.
