LOS ANGELES (Circa) -- A new attraction is coming to Universal Studios Hollywood. The California theme park is debuting its new DreamWorks Theatre, a fully immersive, 180-degree attraction.
The first attraction to open inside this theatre is, no surprise, a DreamWorks Animation production—"Kung Fu Panda: The Emperor's Quest." Universal recently acquired the animation entertainment company. We went to the opening ceremony, where there was a lot of Po:
The multi-sensory adventure will takes guests on a journey that combines animated storytelling with state-of-the-art visual effects. In a first for the park, the theatre will also integrate projection mapping designed to wrap guests in 180 degrees of motion picture. Universal promises guests will forget they're in a theatre because the detailing is so precise and conforms to the interior space.
The theatre opens to the public Friday, June 15, at 9 a.m.
